Amanda and Dominic’s wedding day was the kind of day that reminds me exactly why I love what I do so much. From the very beginning, their day felt deeply meaningful, joyful, and full of so much heart. With a beautiful church ceremony at Our Lady of Victory Basilica and a warm, romantic reception at The Legacy on Eighteenmile Creek in Hamburg, New York, every part of their wedding felt timeless, emotional, and beautifully true to them.
These two have such a sweet story. They had known each other for years through work before they ever started dating, and after so much life change brought them to this season, it was incredibly special to witness them finally step into this new chapter together. There was such a sense throughout the day that this wedding had been long awaited in the very best way — full of history, love, family, and deep connection.
A meaningful start to the day at The Legacy
The day began at The Legacy on Eighteenmile Creek, where the morning felt calm, happy, and full of anticipation. Amanda spent the first part of the day getting ready with her bridesmaids, and there was such a sweet, joyful energy in the room. We spent time capturing all of the beautiful details — her rings, jewelry, shoes, dress, invitations, and thoughtful little pieces that helped tell the story of the day from the very beginning.
One of my favorite things about wedding mornings like this is how much emotion lives in the quieter moments. The laughter while everyone is getting ready, the final touches before stepping into the dress, the deep breaths, the excitement — all of it matters. Amanda looked absolutely stunning, and her bridal portraits were some of my favorite images from the day.
A classic Buffalo wedding ceremony at OLV Basilica
From there, we made our way to Our Lady of Victory Basilica, where Dominic got ready with his groomsmen before the ceremony. The grandeur and beauty of the church made such a perfect setting for their vows. There is something so timeless about a church wedding, and OLV always feels especially sacred and breathtaking.
Before the ceremony, Amanda shared a first look with her dad, which was such a meaningful moment. Those little pauses before everything begins often carry so much emotion, and this one was no exception.
Their ceremony itself was beautiful from start to finish — heartfelt, reverent, and full of joy. One of the most memorable moments was the way Amanda and Dominic came back down the aisle together after the ceremony, completely glowing. You could feel the excitement and relief and happiness all at once. It was one of those just-married moments that feels impossible not to smile through.
Family portraits and wedding party photos
After the ceremony, we spent time with family at the church capturing all of those important portraits with parents, grandparents, siblings, and loved ones. These images always mean so much, not just on the wedding day, but more and more as the years go on. They become part of the legacy of the day, and I never take that lightly.
Once we returned to The Legacy, we moved into wedding party portraits and then Amanda and Dominic’s portraits together. The energy all day felt so easy and joyful, which made photographing them such a dream. Their wedding party was so fun and supportive, and it was clear they were surrounded by people who truly love them.
Romantic portraits at The Legacy on Eighteenmile Creek
The grounds at The Legacy on Eighteenmile Creek gave us such a beautiful backdrop for portraits. Between the fall atmosphere, the soft light, and the natural elegance of the venue, everything came together in such a timeless way.
Amanda and Dominic were so natural together, and that always shines through in the photos. Nothing felt forced. Their portraits felt romantic, connected, and genuine — the kind of images that don’t just show how the day looked, but how it felt.
Later in the evening, we snuck away for a few sunset portraits, and I’m so glad we did. That little pocket of time gave them a chance to breathe, be together, and soak in the day, and those are often some of the most special images of all.
A joyful reception full of celebration
Their reception at The Legacy was such a fun and heartfelt celebration. From their introductions and first dance to the speeches, parent dances, dessert, and packed dance floor, the evening was full of life. It had that perfect mix of meaningful moments and genuine celebration.
One of the things I loved most about their reception was how joyful it felt. There was so much love in the room, and you could tell everyone was truly there to celebrate Amanda and Dominic. The dance floor was full, the energy was high, and the entire evening felt like such a beautiful reflection of who they are.
A day full of heart
Amanda and Dominic’s wedding was a reminder that the most beautiful wedding days are the ones that feel deeply personal. It was elegant without feeling overdone, emotional without ever feeling heavy, and full of the kind of moments that matter most — family, connection, joy, and the beginning of something so meaningful.
Amanda and Dominic, it was such an honor to document this day for you both. Your wedding was beautiful in all the best ways, and I feel so grateful to have been a part of it.
