A little about me

I’m Adelle — photographer, storyteller, wife, mama, and the heart behind For Love and Life. I’m so glad you’re here.

Photography has been part of me for longer than I can remember.

I first picked up a camera when I was 15, and it was love at first click. What started as a creative outlet slowly became something so much deeper — a way of preserving the people, emotions, and moments that make life feel full.

I was born in England, and my family moved to Buffalo when I was 10. At the time, I had no idea that this new city would one day become home in every sense of the word — or that it would lead me to the work I now feel so honored to do.

THE HEART BEHIND THE WORK

This work became personal in a way I never could have expected.

When I was 19, I lost my mum to cancer, and that forever changed the way I see photographs, memory, and the passage of time. It made me realize just how sacred this work really is. Photos are not just beautiful things to have — they become the pieces we hold onto.

They carry personality, love, joy, connection, and the feeling of someone’s presence long after a moment has passed. My mom loved people deeply. She embraced life fully. And in so many ways, that spirit continues to shape the way I approach every wedding, every session, and every story I’m invited into.

That is why this work means so much to me. I’m not just documenting how something looked — I’m preserving the feeling of it, the people within it, and the little moments that matter more with time.

“Photos are not just beautiful things to have — they become the pieces we hold onto.”

These days, life looks a little different — and even more beautiful.

I’m now a wife and mama, and motherhood has only deepened my love for what I do. Our son Mateo is truly our whole world, and becoming his mum has made me even more aware of how quickly time moves and how meaningful it is to preserve the seasons we’re living in while we’re in them.

When we’re not working, Joel and I love traveling, exploring new places, and soaking up the little moments together. We’re also completely obsessed with our dog, Oakley, and the simple rhythms of home, connection, and quality time.

All of it — the love, the growth, the grief, the joy, the ordinary beauty of life — shapes the way I see people and the way I tell stories through my work.

For weddings, Joel and I get to do this together

One of the most special parts of this business is that for weddings, my husband Joel and I work together as a husband-and-wife photo and video team. We started working together not long after we met, and over the years that shared passion has become such a meaningful part of our story too. There is something incredibly special about documenting love stories alongside the person I love most.

Couples often tell us how much they love having photo and video handled by a team that already knows each other so well. It creates a rhythm that feels seamless, calm, and connected — and allows us to tell the day honestly and beautifully from both perspectives.

What matters
most to me

I want the people I work with to feel fully seen, deeply cared for, and completely comfortable being themselves. My approach is rooted in storytelling, which means I’m always looking for the real moments — the quiet glances, the laughter, the movement, the emotion, and the in-between pieces that make a story feel alive.

Of course I care about creating beautiful images. But even more than that, I care about what those images hold. I care about making space for you to be present. I care about preserving the feeling of your day, your season, your people, and your story in a way that feels timeless and true.

Whether I’m documenting a wedding, a growing family, a motherhood session, a portrait, or boudoir, I approach it all with the same heart: with intention, honesty, and a deep respect for what these memories will mean later.

“I’m not just documenting how something looked — I’m preserving how it felt.”
